Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 1, 2026

Your privacy matters. This Policy explains what personal information Wi-Fiber collects in connection with Wi-Fiber Mobile, how it is used and disclosed, how long it is retained, and the choices and rights available to you.

Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to Wi-Fiber Mobile voice, text, mobile-data, hotspot, roaming, device, activation, billing, account-portal, customer-support, and related website activities provided by Wi-Fiber, Inc. ("Wi-Fiber," "we," "us," or "our"). It applies to current and former mobile customers, prospective customers, authorized users, and visitors who interact with mobile-service pages or forms at wi-fiber.io.

This Policy does not govern Wi-Fiber fixed broadband, fixed wireless, VoIP, employment, or business-contact information when a separate notice applies. It also does not govern an unaffiliated website, application, device manufacturer, app provider, or service reached through a link or used over the mobile network. Their privacy terms apply to their own activities.

This Policy is a notice of information practices, not a contract requiring you to waive privacy rights. Separate consent will be requested when consent is required by law, including for certain marketing, sensitive-data, customer proprietary network information, or children's-data practices.

Privacy at a glance

  • Wi-Fiber collects account, billing, device, network, usage, location, website, support, and security information needed to provide and protect mobile service.

  • Mobile network records may qualify as customer proprietary network information (CPNI) and receive special federal protections.

  • Wi-Fiber does not sell personal information for money. Some website analytics or advertising disclosures, if enabled, may be treated as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under certain state laws; applicable opt-out rights are described below.

  • Wi-Fiber provides U.S. consumers a core set of privacy rights, subject to identity verification, legal exceptions, and limits needed to protect other people and network security.

  • Wi-Fiber uses personal information for mobile service, billing, customer care, fraud prevention, network operations, emergency services, legal compliance, and disclosed communications—not for purposes that are materially different without additional notice or consent when required.

Personal information we collect

The information collected depends on how you interact with Wi-Fiber Mobile, the features you use, and the devices and networks involved.

Account and contact information. Name, billing and service address, email address, mobile and alternate telephone numbers, account and line identifiers, username, password or authentication data, authorized users, account preferences, age or eligibility information, and records used to verify identity or authority over an account.

Billing and transaction information. Plan, purchases, invoices, payment status, credits, discounts, refunds, taxes, device financing or installment information, and limited payment details. Payment processors may collect full card or bank information directly; Wi-Fiber generally receives a token, transaction result, or truncated account number.

Mobile-service and CPNI information. Services purchased and used; telephone numbers called or messaged; date, time, duration, routing, and type of communications; network usage and data volumes; roaming; plan features; service configuration; and information about the quantity, technical configuration, type, destination, location, and amount of use of telecommunications services.

Device, network, and technical information. Device type, make and model, operating system, IP address, SIM and eSIM information, IMEI, ICCID, advertising or device identifiers, network and radio information, diagnostic data, performance, connectivity, browser type, application or portal version, and security events.

Location information. Approximate or precise location inferred from cell sites, GPS or device settings, Wi-Fi, IP address, emergency-service systems, or other network technology when needed for service, routing, roaming, fraud prevention, coverage, device features, or emergency response.

Website and account-portal activity. Pages viewed, links selected, form activity, referring page, date and time, session information, cookie or similar identifiers, preferences, and interactions with Wi-Fiber communications. The website uses tag-management technology and may use analytics, measurement, or advertising tags as described below.

Communications and customer care. Calls or chats with Customer Care, emails, messages, survey responses, requests, complaints, consent and preference records, and information you provide to troubleshoot service. Calls may be monitored or recorded after notice where required.

Security, fraud, and legal information. Identity and account-verification results, authentication attempts, porting and SIM-change activity, suspected fraud or abuse, spam and threat indicators, device-loss reports, chargebacks, complaints, legal process, and records used to protect customers, Wi-Fiber, the host network, and the public.

Inferences. Limited predictions or classifications derived from the information above, such as likely fraud, network congestion, service eligibility, customer-support needs, or marketing preferences. Wi-Fiber does not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics for advertising.

Wi-Fiber does not ordinarily access the content of calls, text messages, or Internet communications. Communication content may be processed transiently to transmit the communication and may be collected when you send it to Customer Care, when reasonably necessary to protect the service or investigate unlawful activity, in an emergency, with consent, or as required by lawful process. Wi-Fiber does not control content stored by your device, apps, websites, or unaffiliated cloud services.

Sources of personal information

  • You, the account holder, authorized users, and people acting with authority for an account or line.

  • Devices, browsers, SIMs, eSIMs, applications, websites, account portals, and Wi-Fiber systems.

  • The underlying host network, roaming carriers, interconnection providers, messaging providers, emergency-service providers, number-porting administrators, and other telecommunications participants.

  • Payment processors, identity-verification providers, fraud-prevention services, device sellers, financing providers, customer-support vendors, and other service providers.

  • Government agencies, law enforcement, courts, consumer-reporting or verification sources where legally permitted, public records, complaints, and other persons involved in a transaction or dispute.

How we use personal information

  • Provide, activate, provision, route, maintain, troubleshoot, personalize, and improve Wi-Fiber Mobile and account features.

  • Authenticate users; manage accounts, lines, SIMs, eSIMs, devices, ports, transfers, and service changes; and confirm authority before sensitive transactions.

  • Process payments, billing, taxes, discounts, device transactions, credits, collections, and account records.

  • Operate and optimize network performance; manage congestion and roaming; measure reliability; and implement disclosed network-management practices.

  • Route calls and texts, provide location-dependent functions, support 911 and other emergency communications, and cooperate with public-safety systems.

  • Detect, prevent, investigate, and respond to fraud, identity theft, SIM-swap or port-out abuse, spam, malware, network attacks, unlawful traffic, account compromise, and violations of applicable terms.

  • Provide customer care; resolve complaints and disputes; verify consents and preferences; and communicate about service, billing, security, legal notices, outages, and account changes.

  • Comply with federal, state, local, and tribal law; lawful process; regulatory obligations; recordkeeping; tax requirements; and requests from authorized authorities.

  • Analyze and improve mobile-service and website performance, understand customer needs, develop products, and conduct internal research using data minimized or aggregated when practicable.

  • Market Wi-Fiber products or services in accordance with your choices and applicable law. Wi-Fiber will obtain any consent required for marketing texts, automated calls, CPNI uses, sensitive information, or materially different purposes.

  • Protect legal rights and safety; establish, exercise, or defend claims; complete audits; and evaluate or carry out a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements.

Customer proprietary network information (CPNI)

Federal law provides special protections for CPNI. CPNI generally includes information about the quantity, technical configuration, type, destination, location, and amount of use of a telecommunications service, together with related billing information. Examples include call-detail information, service features, and mobile network usage. It does not include a subscriber-list record such as a name, address, and telephone number standing alone.

Wi-Fiber uses CPNI without additional approval only as permitted by law—for example, to provide and bill for the telecommunications service from which the information is derived, protect customers and carrier rights or property, prevent fraud and abuse, provide emergency assistance, and market services within categories permitted by federal rules. When federal law requires approval for another use or disclosure, Wi-Fiber will use the required opt-in or opt-out process. Declining a marketing use of CPNI will not affect your mobile service.

Wi-Fiber authenticates customers before disclosing call-detail or other protected account information and uses safeguards for online, telephone, and in-person access. Wi-Fiber also maintains procedures for SIM changes, number ports, account notices, and breach response as required by federal law. Do not send CPNI or account credentials through an insecure channel.

Location information and emergency services

Mobile service requires location-related processing. Wi-Fiber, the host network, roaming carriers, device platforms, and emergency-service providers may determine or use a device's approximate or precise location to connect the device to a network, route communications, enable roaming, manage coverage and performance, locate a lost or stolen device when a feature is enabled, prevent fraud, comply with law, or provide 911 and other emergency services. Location accuracy varies and is not guaranteed.

Wi-Fiber does not use emergency location information obtained solely for 911 for unrelated marketing. Where consent is required for a nonessential use of precise location or other sensitive personal information, Wi-Fiber will request consent and provide a way to withdraw it. Device settings may limit certain location collection, but disabling location may impair mobile or emergency-related features and does not prevent network-based location processing needed to provide service.

When we disclose personal information

Wi-Fiber may disclose the categories described above to the following recipients for the stated purposes and subject to applicable legal limits:

Telecommunications and emergency-service participants. The host network, roaming carriers, interconnection and messaging providers, number-porting administrators, device and eSIM platforms, emergency-service providers, and public-safety answering points to provide, route, secure, troubleshoot, and bill for mobile service.

Service providers and contractors. Cloud hosting, billing, payment, customer care, identity verification, fraud prevention, security, analytics, communications, device fulfillment, professional advice, audit, and records-management providers that process information for Wi-Fiber under contractual or legal restrictions.

Business partners and affiliates. Wi-Fiber affiliates or partners involved in an integrated offering, discount, device transaction, or requested service, consistent with the notice given and any required choice.

Authorities and legal recipients. Courts, regulators, law enforcement, emergency responders, governmental bodies, litigants, or other persons when disclosure is required by law or lawful process, permitted to address an emergency, or reasonably necessary to protect rights, property, network integrity, customers, or the public.

Corporate transaction recipients. Potential or actual lenders, investors, buyers, sellers, and advisers in a merger, financing, restructuring, acquisition, bankruptcy, or transfer of assets, subject to confidentiality and applicable law.

At your direction or with consent. A person, application, device platform, or service you authorize, including an account manager or other authorized agent.

Wi-Fiber may also disclose information that has been aggregated or deidentified so it cannot reasonably be linked to you. Wi-Fiber will not attempt to reidentify deidentified data except to test whether deidentification works, as permitted by law.

Sale, sharing, targeted advertising, and analytics

Wi-Fiber does not sell personal information for money. Wi-Fiber's website may allow analytics, measurement, social-media, or advertising providers to collect identifiers, device information, and online activity through cookies, pixels, tags, or similar technology. Depending on how a tool is configured and the law where you live, such disclosures may be considered a "sale," "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, or processing for targeted advertising even when no money changes hands.

Where applicable, you may opt out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising by using the privacy-choice control made available on the website, by sending a request using the methods in the Privacy rights section, or by enabling a legally recognized universal opt-out mechanism such as Global Privacy Control. Wi-Fiber does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 and does not use sensitive personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Wi-Fiber does not provide discounts or other financial incentives in exchange for personal information unless it first provides a separate notice describing the material terms and obtains any consent required by law. Ordinary service pricing, bundles, loyalty benefits, and discounts based on service eligibility are not intended as payment for personal information.

Cookies and similar technology

Wi-Fiber and its providers may use the following technologies on mobile-service webpages and account tools:

  • Essential technology needed for security, authentication, account sessions, load balancing, fraud prevention, requested forms, and core site functions.

  • Preference technology that remembers settings, language, and other choices.

  • Analytics and performance technology that measures visits, errors, navigation, and campaign effectiveness and helps improve the website and mobile-service experience.

  • Advertising or social-media technology, if enabled, that measures or personalizes marketing and may involve disclosures treated as sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under some state laws.

You can use available website controls and browser or device settings to limit nonessential cookies. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login, activation, forms, or account features from working. Wi-Fiber processes a browser- or device-based universal opt-out signal when and where legally required. Because a signal is generally associated with a browser or device, you may need to enable it on each browser and device and, where offered, sign in to associate the choice with your account.

Retention and deletion

Wi-Fiber retains personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the disclosed purpose, to provide requested service, and to satisfy legal, accounting, tax, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, and recordkeeping requirements. Retention is determined by the nature and sensitivity of the information, the operational need, the risk of harm, applicable limitation periods, contractual obligations, and federal or state retention rules.

  • Account, billing, transaction, and consent records are retained for the account relationship and afterward as needed for billing, taxes, audits, disputes, collections, and legal compliance.

  • CPNI, call-detail, network, roaming, porting, SIM-change, and security records are retained for service, billing, fraud prevention, network operations, complaints, and periods required by telecommunications law.

  • Precise location is retained only for the time reasonably necessary for the feature, service, emergency, security, or legal purpose that required it, unless a longer period is required by law or needed for a documented dispute or security incident.

  • Website, cookie, analytics, and campaign records are retained according to the function and provider configuration, with shorter periods used where practicable for identifiable data.

  • Customer-care recordings and communications are retained long enough to resolve requests, train and monitor service quality, establish consent, and address disputes or legal requirements.

  • Privacy-request records are retained as needed to verify compliance, prevent fraud, and avoid repeating a request that has already been completed.

At the end of the applicable period, Wi-Fiber deletes, deidentifies, or securely disposes of information, subject to backup cycles and lawful holds. A deletion request does not require deletion of information that Wi-Fiber must or may retain under an applicable exception.

Security and incident response

Wi-Fiber uses administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information in light of its sensitivity and the nature of mobile-service risks. Measures may include access controls, authentication, encryption where appropriate, monitoring, personnel training, vendor requirements, fraud controls, incident response, and secure disposal. No system or transmission method is completely secure, and Wi-Fiber cannot guarantee absolute security.

You can help protect your account by using a unique password and account PIN, enabling available security features, keeping contact information current, securing your device and SIM, and promptly reporting a lost device, unexpected SIM or port notice, unauthorized charge, or suspected account compromise. If a breach triggers a legal notice obligation, Wi-Fiber will provide notice in the time and manner required by applicable law.

Your choices

  • Account information. Review or update available account information through the account portal or Customer Care. Wi-Fiber may require verification before changing sensitive fields.

  • Marketing email. Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email. You will continue to receive service, billing, security, and legal communications.

  • Marketing calls and texts. Use the stated opt-out method, reply STOP where supported, or contact Customer Care. Revoking marketing consent does not affect consent needed for an ongoing requested transaction or nonmarketing service message.

  • CPNI marketing. Exercise any opt-in, opt-out, or revocation choice provided in a CPNI notice. The choice does not affect service.

  • Location and device permissions. Adjust available device or application permissions. Some processing remains necessary for cellular operation, routing, fraud prevention, roaming, and emergency services.

  • Cookies and targeted advertising. Use available website controls, browser settings, a recognized universal opt-out mechanism, or the request methods below.

Privacy rights and requests

Subject to applicable law and exceptions, Wi-Fiber makes the following core rights available to U.S. consumers. A right may apply differently depending on your state, the information involved, and whether Wi-Fiber acts as a controller, business, carrier, or service provider.

  • Confirm whether Wi-Fiber processes your personal information and access the information or categories required by law.

  • Correct inaccurate personal information, taking into account its nature and the purpose of processing.

  • Delete personal information, subject to exceptions for service, billing, security, legal obligations, claims, and other lawful purposes.

  • Receive a portable copy of information you provided or otherwise covered by applicable law.

  • Opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

  • Limit or withdraw consent for certain processing of sensitive personal information where the law provides that right.

  • Request a list of specific third parties to which personal information was disclosed when required by applicable law.

  • Appeal a denial of a request when applicable state law provides an appeal right.

  • Receive equal service and pricing and be free from unlawful discrimination or retaliation for exercising a privacy right.

How to submit a request

Submit a privacy request by one of these methods:

  • Email support@wi-fiber.io with the subject line "Mobile Privacy Request."

  • Call Customer Care at 435-919-5119.

  • Write to Wi-Fiber, Inc., Attn: Mobile Privacy, 70 East Golf Course Road, Suite 130, Logan, Utah 84321.

Describe the right you want to exercise, the state where you reside, and the account or contact information reasonably needed to locate records. Do not send a password, full payment-card number, government identification number, or account PIN by ordinary email. Wi-Fiber may use a secure process to verify identity and authority, considering the sensitivity of the request and the risk of fraud. If Wi-Fiber cannot verify a request, it may deny or limit the response and explain why.

An authorized agent may submit a request where allowed by law. Wi-Fiber may require proof of authorization and may ask the consumer to verify identity or confirm the authorization directly, unless the agent has legally sufficient power of attorney. Parents and guardians may make requests concerning a child as provided by law.

Wi-Fiber will respond within the period required by applicable law and will notify you if an extension is permitted and reasonably necessary. If a request is denied, the response will explain the basis and, where applicable, how to appeal. Submit an appeal through the same method and label it "Privacy Appeal." If an appeal is denied, Wi-Fiber will provide any legally required information about contacting the appropriate state regulator.

State-specific disclosures

State privacy laws may provide additional rights or require particular terminology. This section supplements the rest of the Policy and does not limit a greater right. Telecommunications data may be governed by federal sector-specific law rather than a general state privacy law, but Wi-Fiber applies the protections described in this Policy where reasonably practicable.

California notice at collection

In the preceding 12 months, Wi-Fiber may have collected the California categories below for the purposes described in How we use personal information and disclosed them to the recipient categories described in When we disclose personal information. Wi-Fiber expects to continue collecting these categories where needed for those purposes.

Identifiers and customer records. Name, address, email, telephone number, account and device identifiers, authentication information, signature, billing details, and service records.

Commercial information. Plans, services, devices, transactions, payment status, discounts, preferences, and purchase history.

Internet, electronic-network, and mobile-service activity. Website and portal interactions, IP address, cookies, device and network data, call and text metadata, data use, roaming, diagnostics, and security events.

Geolocation and sensitive personal information. Approximate or precise device location; account credentials; government identifiers or payment credentials if collected for verification or payment; and communication contents when you send them to support or another lawful exception applies.

Audio, electronic, and similar information. Customer-care recordings, chats, emails, messages, and submitted files.

Professional or business information. Business name, role, and business-service details when a mobile account is associated with an organization.

Inferences. Limited fraud, security, service-eligibility, support, network, and marketing-preference inferences derived from other information.

Sources include you, authorized users, devices and online services, the host network and other telecommunications providers, service providers, business partners, public or legal sources, and fraud or security providers. Retention follows the category-specific criteria in Retention and deletion. Wi-Fiber does not sell personal information for money. Website disclosures involving analytics or advertising technology may constitute sale or sharing under California law; California residents may opt out as described above. Wi-Fiber does not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that trigger California's right to limit beyond permitted service, security, emergency, legal, and other authorized purposes.

Other state rights

Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and other states with applicable consumer privacy laws may have rights described in Privacy rights and requests, including appeal and opt-out rights. Oregon residents may also request, where applicable, the specific third parties to which personal information was disclosed. Nevada residents may submit a request to opt out of a covered sale. Washington and Nevada consumers may have separate rights concerning consumer health data if Wi-Fiber ever offers a product that collects such data; Wi-Fiber Mobile is not intended to collect consumer health data for sale or targeted advertising.

Wi-Fiber recognizes legally required universal opt-out mechanisms in states that require them. Some states define sale, sensitive data, targeted advertising, profiling, minors, and exemptions differently. Wi-Fiber will apply the definition and response process required in the consumer's jurisdiction.

Children and teen users

Wi-Fiber's website and account tools are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. Wi-Fiber does not knowingly collect personal information online directly from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent or another lawful basis. If Wi-Fiber learns that it collected such information in a manner requiring parental consent, it will take appropriate steps to delete it or obtain consent. A parent or guardian may contact Wi-Fiber using the methods above.

An adult account holder may add a line used by a child or teen. Information generated by that line is handled as mobile-service information under this Policy and applicable telecommunications law. Wi-Fiber does not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16 for cross-context behavioral advertising and will obtain consent or provide parental or teen controls where state law requires them.

Survivor and protected-account privacy

Eligible survivors may have rights under the federal Safe Connections Act and state law to separate a mobile line from a shared account and to protect or omit certain call and text records. Wi-Fiber will authenticate and process protected requests using methods designed to reduce the risk of disclosure to an alleged abuser and will not use an ordinary account-notice process when the law requires a safer method. Contact Customer Care and state that you need a protected line-separation or survivor-privacy request. If immediate safety is at risk, contact 911 or an appropriate support organization.

Third-party services and transfers

Your device and mobile service can access unaffiliated apps, websites, content, and platforms. Wi-Fiber transmits network traffic needed to provide mobile service but does not control those third parties' collection or use of information. Review their privacy notices and device permissions. If you authorize Wi-Fiber to connect with a third-party service, information may be exchanged as described at the time.

Wi-Fiber is based in the United States. Personal information may be processed in the United States and in other locations where Wi-Fiber's providers operate, subject to applicable law, contractual protections, and safeguards appropriate to the information. Wi-Fiber Mobile is offered for U.S. customers, and this Policy is designed for U.S. law.

Changes to this Policy

Wi-Fiber may update this Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, mobile-service operations, vendors, or information practices. The current version and last-updated date will be posted at wi-fiber.io. Wi-Fiber will provide additional notice or obtain consent before applying a material change when required by law. A revised notice applies prospectively from its effective date unless the notice states otherwise and law permits.
